Maine Prairie Studio

Maine Prairie Studio is the pottery studio of Megan and JD Jorgenson, located in Kimball, Minnesota. The studio aims to nurture creativity and elevate the ceramic arts through community education for rural Minnesotans. Additionally, Maine Prairie Studio supports local, regional and national artists through apprenticeships, retreats and residencies.

Our dinnerware line, Prairiewares, has been evolving behind the scenes for the past year, and we are excited to share it. Prairiewares, A modern rustic line—clean yet warm, with handcrafted authenticity, complements the personal work that we each make. It offers bold colors on a select group of forms. The pots are handmade on the potter’s wheel at Maine Prairie Studio, our studio in Kimball, Minnesota. The Prairiewares dinnerware line from Maine Prairie Studio embodies a modern, artisanal aesthetic rooted in traditional craftsmanship.

Prairiewares is intended for eating and drinking, and can be put into the dishwasher and the microwave. With care, your Prairiewares should last for years. Prairiewares are custom made to order. Eventually, we will offer seasonal glazes and other forms. Hope you enjoy the starting line up.
